What are the legal consequences of a party to a lawsuit failing to attend a court hearing after being duly notified?

The non-attendance of the party duly notified of the hearing is considered a presumption against them, and the proceedings are deemed adversarial in this case, pursuant to Article (30), paragraph (1) of the Commercial Courts Law. Furthermore, the court draws such inferences as it deems appropriate from this and accepts proof by presumptions, in accordance with Article (21), paragraphs (2) and (3) of the Law of Evidence.
