What is the judicial mechanism for resolving disputes through conciliation, and what is the Sharia and statutory basis for its ratification and enforceability?

Judicial disputes are resolved through conciliation between the disputing parties. The court may ratify this conciliation and deem it binding on both parties. This is based on the principle of the permissibility of conciliation in Islamic Sharia, provided it does not render lawful unlawful or unlawful lawful, and on Article (70) of the Law of Sharia Procedure, which allows litigants to request the recording of their conciliation agreement in the minutes of the case and the issuance of a deed to that effect.
